Inspection and Maintenance of Wind Turbine Pitch System

Inspection and maintenance of wind turbine pitch system includes inspection and maintenance of pitch reducer and pinion, pitch motor, pitch control cabinet, accessories and other components, which are described in detail as follows:

1, pitch reducer and pinion

1.1 appearance inspection

(1) Check the surface of the pitch reducer anti-corrosion coating is shedding, if shedding need to repair, repair methods, see Annex IV;

(2) Check the pitch reducer oil level mirror is intact;

(3) Check the surface of the pinion pitting, excessive wear and broken teeth.

1.2 noise check

Manually pitch each blade to check for pitch noise reductions.

1.3 backlash check

(1) Check the meshing clearance between pitch pinion and pitch ring gear with feeler gauge, and the normal meshing clearance is 0.3 ~ 0.9mm.

(2) backlash measurement method: First of all, ensure that one tooth face of the pitch ring gear is completely meshed with the corresponding tooth face of the pinion (as shown in FIG. 1), and then measure the other side of the tooth with the feeler Pitch ring minimum meshing clearance.

1.4 reducer / wheel mounting bolt torque check

Inspect the pitch reducer / hub mounting bolt with the specified torque, the sampling torque value depends on the design requirements.

1.5 Pitch reducer oil level check

Check the pitch gear oil level is normal (the oil level should be located in the middle of the observation window), if the oil level is low, check the pitch reducer leakage, and add oil. Repair work and refueling work is completed, the reducer clean;

Note: The reducer should be placed in the 6 o'clock position during refueling or checking the oil level.

Reducer lubricating oil replenishment and replacement programs (variable pitch reducer lubricating oil replenishment process is the same, the main difference is that the brand reducer filling port position and seal slightly different form):

Note: When filling lubricating oil to prevent foreign objects fall into the reducer, oil change oil discharge should be carried out in a state of heat, when the ambient temperature is too low, should be added to the amount of preheated new oil on the reducer rinse.

(1) use a towel to clean the fuel nozzle and the surrounding oil dust;

(2) unscrew the filler plug and place it on a clean towel;

(3) The oil along the nozzle into the reducer (due to a smaller nozzle, the actual refueling can use a clean large cylinder as a refueling tool), while refueling oil level through the mirror to observe the oil level;

(4) When the oil level close to the normal oil level, stop refueling (in advance of the normal oil level can be marked with a marker);

(5) wipe the fuel filler screw and screwed to the nozzle, tighten;

(6) run the reducer 5min, observe the nozzle at any leakage, if any be dealt with;

(7) Stop the reducer and observe the oil level again. If the oil level reaches the normal value, finish the refueling work. If not, repeat steps (2) ~ (6) until the oil level meets the requirements.

(8) If you want to change the lubricant, you can change the lubricant to be replaced at 10 o'clock or 2 o'clock position, place the empty container just below the reducer plug, unscrew the plug, let the oil flow into the container. After all the oil flow streamer, clean the nozzle with a towel and around, refueling plug. To be reducer back to 6 o'clock position to step (1) - (7), to complete the lubricating oil replenishment.
