Agitator mill refers to a type of ultrafine grinding equipment consisting of a stationary cylinder filled with grinding media and a rotary agitator.

The barrel of the agitating mill is generally made with a cooling jacket. When the material is ground, cooling water or other cooling medium can be introduced into the cooling jacket to control the temperature rise during grinding. The agitating mill mainly stirs the grinding medium by the agitator to generate irregular movement, and applies impact or impact, shearing, friction and the like to the material to pulverize the material.

In the case of ultrafine grinding, the agitating mill generally uses a spherical medium having an average particle diameter of less than 6 mm. The diameter of the grinding media has a direct effect on the grinding efficiency and product particle size. In addition, the density (material) and hardness of the grinding media are also one of the important factors affecting the grinding effect of the agitating mill.
