Renault and Volvo Trucks consider acquisition of Volvo Cars

AB Volvo Volvo Group is one of the world's largest truck manufacturing suppliers. Its predecessor was Volvo Buses. In 1999, Volvo Motors became part of the Ford Motor Company. According to Dagens Industri newspaper in Sweden, the truck company has Renault bought Volvo cars together.

However, the analysts doubted the proposal. This kind of transaction is meaningless to AB Volvo. "This kind of car buying and selling does not really buy shares, and it doesn't do any good for Volvo's shareholders. I think it's very strange that they have to take this step," explained Danske stock analyst Henrik Brillum.

Since 1999, it has been separated from the industry of passenger cars, focusing mainly on its heavy trucks and construction projects. It has also acquired the truck operations of Renaut and Mack in France and, in addition, Volvo AB from AB. The latest move and industrial focus are unlikely to buy a car company. So far, AB Volvo has acquired Japanese Nissan diesel power, which cost 110 million U.S. dollars. Now it is in talks with China Dongfeng Motor Co. to establish a joint venture company.
