It has realized the localization and large-scale production of large-scale and high-quality steel castings for gas turbines, and has filled the gap in the production technology of large-scale key steel castings for domestic gas turbines. It is at the domestic leading level in the production and research of heavy-duty steel castings.

As the world's energy demand continues to grow, gas turbines, as an adaptable, efficient and environmentally friendly power generation equipment, have become one of the most important forms of power generation in the world today. Large-scale steel castings are the core components of gas turbines. Their manufacturing technology is only controlled by a few foreign companies. The domestic market mainly relies on imports and is in urgent need of localization.

In response to this demand, under the support of the International Science and Technology Cooperation Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the company has introduced seven technologies, including casting process design, molten steel refining, polymer quenching and resin sand molding, from Austrian VAI Group, and organized scientific research personnel to combine domestic The actual situation and customer requirements have been digested, absorbed and re-innovated. The mining process technology adapted to the dry climate of the northwest region and the characteristics of raw and auxiliary materials has been successfully mastered. Various gas turbine supporting cast steel parts have been developed and mass production has been realized. In some areas, it has the proprietary technology of the enterprise.

In the production process of large-scale steel castings, the shared cast steel has implemented a comprehensive digital process control, which realizes “visual casting”. The simulation results and the actual castings meet the rate of success, and the success rate of the first weld repair of the castings is over 95%. The results of this project have been widely promoted and applied in the production of steel castings for steam turbines, hydro turbines, nuclear power plants, rolling mills, large ships, mining machinery and other equipment.
