The first is to monitor the intelligent operation of the machine tool.

In the monitoring of the working status of the machine tool, the intelligent progress of the spindle is most obvious. The height of the spindle is realized through a sensor system equipped with a temperature sensor and a load displacement sensor.

Here, the MEMS temperature sensor is mainly used to monitor bearing lubrication conditions, prevent bearing sintering, and perform thermal displacement correction of the spindle. The load displacement sensor detects abnormal load during machining, monitors bearing load and infers its life, and avoids bearing damage. Because the spindle is close to the workpiece machining position, it is more suitable for accurately monitoring the machining status of the machine. However, installing the sensing system within the limited space of the spindle is not simple and there are still many issues. If the thermal displacement of the structure is detected by installing an FBG sensor (strain sensor) in the structural material, the thermal displacement pattern of the machine tool structure is judged and corrected, and the temperature distribution control of the main structure is performed so that the thermal deformation is minimized.

In addition, there are temperature and spindle operation information at several monitoring points in the machine tool structure, and the relative thermal distortion between the tool and the workpiece is corrected by the CNC command.

The second is the intelligent monitoring of maintenance status. In order to reduce the load on the maintenance work, it is necessary to have a system for taking countermeasures before a major failure occurs. Therefore, it is very important to constantly monitor the maintenance status. Accumulation of historical data of the working state of the machine tool and prediction of the life based on this, as well as the detection of the life in the working state, can be said to be the future issues.

The third is to ensure the security of intelligence. The latest intelligent technology to ensure safety can be said to be a technology to avoid collisions. Through the program, interference checks can be performed during exercise and during preparation.
