The second trial of the draft tax for vehicles and boats will soon result in a large-displacement tax

It is reported that the 19th session of the 11th National People's Congress Standing Committee this week will review the draft of the second review of the draft law on vehicles and ships, and the draft of the second review will substantially adjust the draft of the first instance.

It is reported that the second reviewer has adjusted the tax amount disclosed in the first review draft, reducing the passenger vehicle tax with a displacement of 2.0 (inclusive) or less. However, compared with the current provisional regulations for passenger and boat taxes, the nominal tax burden for passenger cars below 2.0 (including) displacement is basically flat. At present, the proportion of passenger vehicles with 2.0 (inclusive) displacement accounts for about 87% of all motor vehicles. More than 2.0 emission tax will increase.

It is reported that the tax laws and regulations for vehicles and ships only set the tax amount interval, and the specific implementation of the standards will be determined by the provinces themselves.

On October 26, 2010, at the Seventeenth Session of the Eleventh National People's Congress Standing Committee, the draft of the Taxation Law for Vehicles and Vessels was first reviewed. The draft of the preliminary review was questioned by all parties. In the opinion soliciting, more than 100,000 were received in a month. Of the views, more than half of them believe that the tax amount should be reduced.
