Bosch , a German auto parts supplier, recently stated that the company’s new software engineering center in Vietnam has already started operations. In the future, the center will serve customers in the entire Southeast Asian market.

Bosch said that the newly-built software engineering center will provide high-tech software solutions and engineering services to its customers. Its main business scope includes developing embedded software for electronic control components and providing IT technical services.

Initially, the center will employ 60 engineers. However, Bosch expects that by 2015, the number of engineers in the center will reach 500. It is reported that Bosch has two similar centers in Bangalore and Coimbatore in India.

In the Vietnam market, last year the company’s turnover rose nearly 50% to 15 million euros. Currently, the company plans to quadruple the number of employees at its Vietnam plant to 1,400 by 2015.

Vijay Ratnaparkhe, President of Bosch Vietnam Branch stated: “The new center will enhance our service to customers in the Asia Pacific region.”
