China and Japan join hands to create a large industrial pump production base

Hitachi, Ltd. (Executive Director: Yoshihiko Chongsan, Hitachi Ltd.), Hitachi Industries, Ltd. (Chairman) : Mintian Shi, hereinafter referred to as Hitachi China, and China's Jiangsu Water Pump Manufacturing Corporation - Wuxi Xi Pump Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Chairman: He Baorong, hereinafter referred to as Wuxi Tin Pump) reached an agreement to jointly fund the establishment of a water conservancy project in China, The Hitachi Pump Manufacturing (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., a joint-venture company that manufactures and sells large-scale industrial pumps for urban water supply and drainage, thermal power stations, etc., is the first large-scale industrial pump production base established by the Hitachi Group for overseas orders.

In recent years, in order to solve the problems of power shortage caused by the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization and serious shortage of water in North China, China has gradually carried out a series of projects to improve the construction of social infrastructure such as the construction of power stations and the South-to-North Water Transfer Project. As a result, the market demand for large-scale industrial pumps has increased significantly. In order to compete for the ever-expanding China's buying and selling market and improve the international competitiveness of products, Hitachi Group Corporation and Xixi Pump of Wuxi jointly decided to establish the above-mentioned new joint venture in Wuxi.

The plant of the joint venture company has broken ground in the new district of Wuxi and is expected to be completed in June this year and officially put into operation. Wuxi Xipeng has powerful water pump production and sales bases and large-scale industrial pump resources for urban water supply and drainage; and low-lift pump units that are produced by Hitachi’s advanced technology and used for China’s domestic thermal power generation projects. When the new plant is officially put into operation, it will focus on large-scale circulating water pumps. Since then, with the introduction of Hitachi's production technology, it has gradually expanded its production facilities; finally, it has produced high-lift large-scale water-supply pumps for thermal power boilers. At the same time, the company gradually expanded its export business and increased the company’s sales scale to drive the increase in sales profits.

In the future, the Hitachi Group and Wuxi Xipeng will use the joint venture company as their production base in an effort to expand China's buying and selling market and improve their product's international competitiveness, and ultimately succeed in the international market.
