According to the National Internal Combustion Engine Industry Monthly Sales Report issued by the China National Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, in June 2014, the total sales volume of internal combustion engines nationwide was 5.1966 million units, an increase of 3.84% year-on-year. According to industry experts, the major reason for the decline in sales of light-duty diesel engines is that the majority of truck companies have been equipped with state-owned or even national-standard light engines. With the implementation of the National IV emission standards, the country’s second-largest light machine has stopped production.
