(1) BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. recalled some domestically produced Brilliance BMW 535Li, which was produced during the period from April 13, 2011 to June 30, 2011, totaling 1,179 vehicles;
(2) BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. recalled some of the imported BMW 335i, 535i, 640i, 730Li, 740Li and Z4 produced between December 1, 2010 and April 29, 2011, for a total of 7,425 vehicles.
The recall involved flexible connectors for the rear drive vehicle drive shaft. Due to the manufacturer's manufacturing reasons, the specific batch of connectors is insufficient in strength and may be damaged or broken after long-term use. If the connecting member breaks while the vehicle is running, the vehicle will lose its driving force, increasing the risk of traffic accidents and posing a safety hazard.
