Recently, China Chemical Fiber Industry Association awarded Ningbo National Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences “National High Performance Fiber Characterization Testing (Ningbo) Base”. It shows that Ningbo Materials Co., Ltd. has been widely recognized by the industry for its high-performance fiber characterization and testing, and will also promote the development of China's high-performance fiber industry.

High-Performance Fibers refer to fiber materials with high tensile strength and compressive strength, abrasion resistance, high resistance to damage, low specific gravity, etc., which have been rapidly developed in the field of fiber polymer materials in recent years. A class of specialty fibers, including carbon fibers, ultra-high-strength polyethylene fibers, aramid fibers, and basalt fibers. They are usually made of high-tech, and they are mostly used in industrial, defense, medical, environmental protection, and cutting-edge science.

After several years of development, Ningbo Materials has successively installed thermal analyzers (DSC, TG), gel chromatography (GPC), gas chromatography (GC), universal material testing machine, fiber tensile tester, fiber fineness Instruments and density gradient tubes and other advanced and sophisticated instruments, combined with large-scale equipment and instruments of the testing center of the Public Technical Service Center, have formed a relatively complete array of high-performance fiber surface microscopic morphology and structural analysis, physical property analysis, and analysis of organic and inorganic components. The system has made great progress in fiber testing and has provided testing services for many domestic companies. At present, Ningbo Institute of Materials can measure various properties of high-performance fibers and provide solutions for the quality problems of high-performance fibers based on practically-derived detection methods.
