Solution for Submersible Pump Faults Submersible pumps may encounter multiple failures during operation. Here are seven typical failures and their solutions.

(1) The reasons why the submersible pumps often have insufficient or no water during operation are as follows:

(1) The installation height of the pump is too high, making the impeller immersion depth not enough, resulting in a drop in the water pump output; the allowable deviation of the control pump installation elevation cannot be arbitrarily expanded.

(2) Conversely, the water pump is turned in the opposite direction. Before the test run of the water pump, the motor is idly idled, and the steering is checked so that it is consistent with the water pump. In the course of the above-mentioned process, the phase sequence of the power supply should be checked.

(3) The outlet valve cannot be opened. Check the valve and always maintain the valve.

(4) The outlet pipe is not open or the impeller is blocked. Clear up clogging of pipelines and impellers, and often recover debris in the reservoir.

(5) The wear ring at the lower end of the pump is seriously worn or blocked by debris. Clean up debris or replace wear rings.

(6) The density of the pumped liquid is too high or the viscosity is too high. Look for the causes of changes in water quality and manage them.

(7) The impeller is detached or damaged. Reinforce or replace the impeller.

(8) When multiple pumps share pipeline output, one-way valves or one-way valves are not installed. Check or replace the one-way valve after checking the reason.

(II) Abnormal vibration and instability of submersible pump operation. The main causes are:

(1) The anchor bolt of the pump base is not tightened or loosened; all anchor bolts are evenly tightened (2) The outlet pipe is not independently supported, and the pipeline vibration affects the pump; the outlet pipe of the pump is provided with independent and stable support. The flange of the outlet pipe of the pump is load-bearing.

(3) The impeller quality is unbalanced or even damaged or the installation is loose; Repair or replace the impeller (4) The upper and lower bearings of the pump are damaged; Replace the upper and lower bearings of the pump.

(3) Main causes of excessive current or excessive temperature of the motor caused by the submersible pump:

(1) The operating voltage is too low or too high; check the power voltage and adjust the voltage.

(2) The internal and external parts of the water pump are rubbed by the moving parts or the friction between the impeller and the seal ring; the position of the friction parts is judged and the failure is eliminated.

(3) The low head and high flow rate cause the motor power to be inconsistent with the characteristics of the water pump; adjusting the valve to reduce the flow rate makes the motor power match the water pump.

(4) The pumping density is higher or the viscosity is higher; check the reason of water quality change, change the working conditions of the pump (5) bearing damage; replace the bearings at both ends of the motor (4), the main reason for the low insulation resistance of the submersible pump and its treatment method:

(1) When the power cord is installed, the tip is immersed in water or the power line or signal line is broken to cause water ingress; replace the cable or signal cable and dry the motor.

(2) The mechanical seal is worn or not installed; replace the upper and lower mechanical seals and dry the motor.

(3) O-rings are aging and lose their function; replace all sealing rings and dry the motor.

(5) In submersible pump pipelines, pipelines or flange joints, there are often obvious causes of seepage water phenomenon and treatment methods:

1 The pipeline itself is defective and has not passed the pressure test;

2 gasket joints at flange joints are not handled well;

3Flange bolts are not tightened in a reasonable manner; defective tubes should be repaired or even replaced. Deviation from the center of the butt-jointed tube should be removed. Rear alignment bolts should be tightened in a substantially free state. After the pipeline is fully installed, the system's compressive strength and leakage test should be performed. Must be replaced with new ones.

(6) Internal leakage of submersible pumps:

When the submersible pump leaks, it will cause insulation damage, bearing immersion, alarm system alarm, forcing the unit to stop running.

The main reason is that the submersible pump's dynamic seal (mechanical seal) or static seal (special seal for cable inlet, 0 type seal ring) causes water seepage, and the power cable or signal cable is damaged to cause water seepage. All kinds of alarm signals such as flooding, leakage, humidity and other alarm shutdown; before installation, should check the quality of the sealing parts; installation must ensure that the sealing parts of the end surface contact well; check the motor before running phase and ground insulation resistance and alarm The sensor components of the system are in good condition. When the above fault occurs during operation, replace all damaged seals and cables and dry the motor. Do not use the disassembled seals and cables.

(7) When the submersible pump is turned off when it is stopped:

1. The water pump will reverse when the pump motor is powered down. The main reason is that the check valve or the flap door in the outlet pipe fails.

2. Exclusion measures The inspection should be carried out before installation. The installation direction of the check valve should be correct. If the center of the door is aligned, the opening and closing should be flexible. Always inspect check valves or flaps during operation, repair damaged parts or replace quality check valves or flaps.
