Takata acquires BAE Systems' safety products company

According to PR News, Japan's Takada has announced that it has signed an agreement with BAE Systems Inc., which will invest US$32 million in the acquisition of BAE Systems Safety Products Inc and Schroth Security. Product company (Schroth Safety Products GmbH).

Takata will acquire the two companies' plants in Pano Beach, Florida and Arnsberg, Germany. The various safety system products produced by these two factories are widely used in aviation and other commercial fields.

The agreement still needs the approval of the relevant regulatory authorities and it is expected that the transaction will be finalized in the first quarter of next year.

Takata Corporation mainly produces a variety of active and passive safety system products. It provides services to almost all automakers worldwide. It has 46 plants in 17 countries and employs 35,000 people worldwide.
