Zhejiang Province will promote the construction of a demonstration base for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles

The Zhejiang Provincial Government held a meeting on the development of energy-saving and new energy automobile industry in Hangzhou on the 18th. The meeting pointed out that accelerating the development of energy-saving and new energy automobile industry can promote the technological progress and optimization and upgrading of the automobile industry in Zhejiang Province, and seize the opportunities for strategic emerging industries. The "Implementation Opinions of the People's Government of Zhejiang Province on Strengthening the Development of Energy-saving and New Energy Automobile Industry" was distributed at the meeting. The drafts show that the main objectives for the development of energy-saving and new-energy automotive industries have been strengthened, focusing on three dimensions: industrial scale, key technological innovation, and business model innovation.

At the meeting, the Zhejiang Provincial Government signed a letter of responsibility for launching a comprehensive pilot project for the technical innovation of the pure electric vehicle industry with five companies including Wanxiang Group, Chaowei Group, Zhejiang Dadong Group, Zhongtai Group and Youth Automotive.

According to reports, there are many tasks to be carried out in the pilot project, not only planning and constructing a number of provincial-level key enterprise research institutes, but also setting up major special projects for new energy vehicles and implementing a number of technical problem-solving projects. At the same time, pilots must also promote the training of young scientists. Yao Zhiwen, deputy director of the Organization Department of the Provincial Party Committee and director of the Provincial Party Committee's Talent Office, said that young talents in universities and scientific research institutes in the province are encouraged to work in the Institute of New Energy Automobile Enterprise Research Institutes, and that companies can also bring professional foreign counterparts and doctoral students to Related universities, research institutes.

Deputy Director of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Zhong Wei, will strive to achieve an annual output of 50,000 pure electric vehicles and 1 billion ampere-hours of power batteries by 2015. Major technological breakthroughs will be achieved in the field of pure electric vehicles and key parts and components. The scale of promotion and application of energy vehicles reached 30,000 vehicles.

The Opinions also showed that in order to ensure the implementation of the promotion work, Zhejiang Province will promote the construction of demonstration bases for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles, including support for the deepening of the pilot project for the implementation of national new energy vehicles “thousands of thousands of vehicles” and private subsidies for new energy vehicles in Hangzhou. Support Jinhua City to carry out pilot projects for the promotion and application of provincial-level new energy vehicles. Pilot cities should formulate bus renewal plans, and by 2015, energy-saving and new energy vehicles will reach 1/3 or more.
