Analysis on the Export of Auto Parts Market in the United States of Jinhua City
In January 2012, Jinhua City exported automobile parts and components worth US$26.67 million, an increase of 6.3% over the same period of 2011 (below). Among them, exports to the United States amounted to US$7.01 million, which accounted for 23.6% of total exports of auto parts in Jinhua during the same period, or about 1/4. The United States became the largest export market for Jinhua auto parts. In terms of trade patterns, almost all of them are general trade exports, with exports amounting to US$29.53 million, accounting for 99.5% of the total.
In addition, Jinhua City exported 2.53 million U.S. dollars of auto parts to ASEAN in January, an increase of 32.3%; it exported 3.52 million U.S. dollars to the EU, an increase of 7.6%; it exported 3.29 million U.S. dollars to Russia, a decrease of 10.5%; it exported 2.27 million U.S. dollars to Latin America, an increase 5.5%. The export volume of the above five regions accounted for 62.7% of the total export volume of auto parts in Jinhua during the same period. Due to the European debt crisis and the turmoil in the Middle East, the foreign trade situation in 2012 is still not optimistic. Jinhua Customs reminded that the recent Western trade protectionism has shown signs of recovery, and the United States has recently launched more anti-dumping and countervailing investigations on China's auto parts products.
The Customs suggested that, in the context of continuous declining foreign trade conditions, on the one hand, government departments should strengthen the monitoring of auto parts exports, actively disclose relevant information, help trade associations and companies deal with trade frictions and reduce trade risks; on the other hand, trade associations should Support the development of modular and intensive industries through mergers and acquisitions, form a complete industrial chain, and shape product reputation. In addition, the relevant departments should introduce supporting measures and corresponding policies to support and encourage enterprises to independently innovate, reduce production costs, implement the strategy of introducing and going abroad, and enhance the international competitiveness of products.
