Several basic crushing and screening processes

The crushing process generally includes a screening operation, a crushing operation and a screening operation together to form a crushing section, and the sum of all the crushing sections (sometimes including washing and the like) constitutes a crushing and screening process.

Crushing and screening plant beneficiation processes substantially as shown below:

Generally speaking, gold and a concentrator, the concentrator small, usually two or three-stage crushing and screening process; large three-stage concentrator plurality crushing and screening process, even large-scale plant because of some degree ore blocks, There are also four-stage crushing and screening processes. Due to the large power consumption of grinding operations, in order to reduce energy consumption, it is necessary to reduce the particle size of the crushed final product as much as possible, and strive to achieve “multiple crushing and less grinding” and to distribute the workload of each crusher in a balanced manner.

The two-stage crushing process is divided into two sections (Figure a ) and two sections and one closed circuit (Figure b ). The so-called open-circuit crushing, that is, the broken product is no longer returned to the crushing operation for re-crushing; the so-called closed-circuit crushing, that is, after the crushed product is sieved, the part with unqualified particle size (ie, the product on the sieve) is returned to the crushing operation to be broken again. . For the two-stage crushing process, most of the concentrators usually use a two-stage, one-closed process, that is, the second-stage crusher and the screening machine constitute closed-circuit production. This ensures the particle size requirements of the broken product and does not affect the ball milling operation. The two-stage open process is used in some gravity concentrators, and the broken products are sent to the rod mill. The two-stage crushing process is only suitable for small mines with underground mining, and its production capacity is less than 500 tons / day. Because the total crushing ratio required for this case is not large, and the throughput of the crusher is not high.

The three-stage crushing process is the most commonly used crushing and screening process in the concentrator, and it is also a three-stage open circuit (Figure c ) and three sections and one closed circuit (Figure d ) two processes. In the second and third stages of the process, each section of the crushing operation is pre-screened to improve the crusher's production capacity and avoid sludge blockage. In some cases, there is generally no pre-selected screening in front of the first and second stages of the crushing operation. For the three-stage open-circuit process, since the last section is still open, it is difficult to ensure the granularity of the crushed product, and it is generally used in large ore processing plants to treat ore with high moisture content. The three-stage and one-closed process is the most commonly used crushing and screening process for large and medium-sized concentrators. When the material is transported, the second stage of the crushed product and the third stage of the cyclic load are combined and sent to the closed circuit screening operation.
