At present, China's PM2.5 monitoring equipment and technology mainly rely on imports, which puts forward urgent requirements for the development of environmental air monitoring technology and related equipment development in China. China's air pollution is complex, soot-type and oxidative pollution coexist, and accelerating environmental air monitoring technology and equipment research and development can provide reliable protection for China's complex pollution problems.

Wen Xiangcai said that China urgently needs to develop a series of environmental monitoring technologies such as atmospheric haze photochemical smog monitoring technology, pollution transportation heavy metal pollution monitoring technology, and high accuracy pollution source identification technology. China's environmental air monitoring equipment, especially the localization of PM2.5 monitoring equipment, should be promoted as soon as possible, and independent intellectual property rights of relevant technologies and equipment must be obtained in order to promote the sustainable development of environmental monitoring.
